The ministry of the missions department provides a structured opportunity for church members to give their time to the Lord through service to the community. This important mission thrust helps the various auxiliaries and departments fulfill the church’s divinely appointed obligations such as extended care for the poor in the community, throughout the year, for a variety of reasons and at any season. We also pass out book bags and school supplies to children each year in a celebratory back-to-school setting with lots of fun, games, food, friends, family and the community.

FEED, CLOTHE, AND HELP THE NEEDY (FCHN)
Operating as a separate 501c-3 entity from Freedom Temple Church, members, Mother Betty Price and her husband, Deacon Earnest Price, have been serving the Englewood community for many years. The mission of FCHN is to provide food, clothing, and hope to people in need in the community. Since 1997, FCHN has been located at 1234 W. 59th Street in Chicago, and continues to welcome all who are in need of assistance, without regard to ethnicity, religion, or status in society. FCHN also provides opportunities for volunteers who would like to assist in this work of feeding over 1,000 hungry men, women and children each week. All monetary contributions are tax-deductible.
